Internet der Dinge

Verknüpfung physischer Objekte (Dinge) mit einer virtuellen Repräsentation im Internet oder einer internetähnlichen Struktur. Die automatische Identifikation mittels RFID ist die erste Stufe einer möglichen Ausprägung des Internets der Dinge. Über Sensor- und Aktortechnologie kann diese Funktionalität um die Erfassung von Zuständen beziehungsweise die Ausführung von Aktionen erweitert werden. Die nächste Stufe beinhaltet intelligente Objekte (Smart Objects), die z. B. als Eingebettete Systeme realisiert werden.

Anmerkung Rieg zu IIC: konsequenterweise wird unter “industrial internet” darauf verwiesen, dass es “ein” IOT ist, also: “An internet of things, machines, computers and people, enabling intelligent industrial operations using advanced data analytics for transformational business outcomes.”

• Mir fehlt hier die Tatsache, dass jede teilnehmende Komponente eine eindeutige IP-Adresse hat. Der Sprung zur “automatischen Identifikation mittels RFID” ist mir nicht erklärlich
